Convertible Top up or down?
I know this must've been addressed before but I didn't find a consensus. When parking my car in the garage, what is the best:
1. Keep top down
2. Keep top up w/o latching
3. Keep top up w/ latching.
Right now I do option 2 because i figured it keeps the dust out of the car and latching adds stress to the top which can cause it to wear. If option 1 was the best, i might consider this and buying a convertible mid-cover because it seems like unnecessary wear to the soft top motor and window motors to keep putting the top up and down when I'm mostly driving top down anyway. If its option 3, then i'll start latching.

I almost always leave it down when in the garage because it's almost always down when I'm pulling in.
Then I dont have to put it down the next morning because I likely would anyway.

I have always garaged mine and would guess that the top has been down in the garage about 70% of the last 12 years. No critters, well some spiders but they can get in if the top is closed too. As for dust, my car is black so I put the cover on it anyway. After keeping the top down all winter there have been no problems latching it in spring.
I only drive it with the top down so why put it up in the garage?
