Our dryer vents in the garage, so top up to avoid a layer of lint.

Subjective -- just as best is on any topic. Do what works for you and don't assume that it's a one-size-fits-all matter.

I park it in the garage with the top up, latched. I don't like being top up in the day too much.

Like _brandon, it is top down 99.9% of the time, so i leave it down in the garage too.

It depends. Like Sabre said, if you get home at 10pm, and you're going to leave at 10am with the top down, there's no reason to put it up because it'll cause wear on the top. If you're storing it for a longer period of time, I would definitely keep the top up.

Then I dont have to put it down the next morning because I likely would anyway.
+1 and the gossamer top (thanks, Honda) probably starts deteriorating on the assembly line anyway.

Sounds like that's fixable. YMMV

it depends on how I drive my car into the garage. If top down then I leave it down. I have a clean garage with no bug or rodent issues. It wouldn't get any dirtier inside sitting in the garage then driving it around on the street.

3. Top up and latched

...have never been otherwise. Keep dust and curious hands away. Mine is the 1st year (2000) AP1, the top still looks as new, believe it or not!

Only if the vent was run up the wall into the attic, then out from there. It would make it very long and running vertical makes it easy for lint to accumulate causing a fire hazard.
It really isn’t a big deal; I just hit the garage with a leaf blower every so often. I was concerned about the humidity, but we live in a desert, so it minimal.

Maybe I should've been more clear: My garage is a private garage attached to my house (not a public/municipal).

I park with the top up when I'm out somewhere (shopping for example).

I was asking if I should leave the top up or down when I have it parked in my home garage with concerns that A) motor wear and B) does keeping the top down in the garage wrinkle the top in a weird way.
