I have a 99 PreludSH right now. Tempted to tradein but really shouldn't since I've had my car for less than 2 years and would lose a lot of money in tax at the very least. So convince me to trade-in or keep my Prelude please.

Go for a test drive in 9000 rpm territory. If you still need convincing then the S2000 is not for you.

If you still like it, think about only 2 seats for a moment. Then take a look in the trunk. Big enough?

If you're still smiling, what are you wainting for? Go find that salesman!

Where I live you can't have a test drive as they don't keep it in stock.

Maybe you can make an appointment with a Honda dealer not to far away?

Howie, There are many of us that would be happy to give you a ride in our cars, just let us know where you live. To paraphrase from the very approprite Porsche 996 turbo ad: The S2000; so wrong for so many people.

Do you want to drive a 2 seat convertible with small trunk? Do you want a taught suspension and snug cockpit? Do you want to wear an ear-to-ear grin whenever you get on it? If so, check out the S2000.

Just remember this: Prelude is to S2000 as hamburger is to filet mignon.

The Prelude will do everything you might need a car to do except carry four people in comfort.

The S2000 will give you a driving experience like no other car in its price class. For that you give up some
practicality.

I kept my '93 Prelude VTEC. I only drive the S2000 when I want to.

Howie, you could post your location and I would bet that someone from here would at least give you a ride. I have done that a couple of times and both times, the people bought the S2000...

The difference between the two cars is obvious. What matters is how each would fit into your life. Do you need a backseat? Loads of trunkspace? Those are the kinds of questions that you need to ask yourself.

Let us know how you like it...and after the ride, what color you choose to get!
