Default Convince me to buy a S2000 (long)

So here is the deal. I currently drive a very nice 2000 subaru 2.5rs impreza coupe with mild mods. My other recent cars were a 92 5.0 mustang lx coupe, 89 vw scirocco 1.8v, 97 vw gti 2.0, and a 92 vw corrado slc. Basically i like very fun, quick, agile (FUN) cars. I have never driven a s2000 yet but at the local small dealership there is a red 01 that i think was Repo-ed from somebody and they will be selling soon. I've been trying to set my subaru for some time now and have always really liked s2000 since first released.

Can someone turn me in the right direction and somewhat explain the exact pro's and con's of a 00-02 prob s2k - also i live in PA and what are some ballpark insurance quotes for full coverage (im 20)

Thanks Guys

Pros: it's a two-seat convertible sports car.

Cons: it's a two-seat convertible sports car.

You gotta drive it and then you can tell if you've fallen in love with it.

Words on a screen will help you some but it's all based on someone else's opinion. Some people love this car, some people think it's too "raw", etc.

Drive it. And you have drive it hard to savor the full flavor and then you'll know if a S2000 is for you. Just don't "cruise" around the block. That'll be like being married to a Playboy model and not allowed to have sex with her

As for me, I fell in love right after the pressed the "Start Engine"

I pay $150 a month and I'm 25 with 3 points (speeding).

I gotta agree, you have to drive it. If it isn't for you, you'll know right away. I knew it was my car from the moment I started it. It has been two very good years, and I have never regretted it and it still puts a smile on my face.

The '01 is a wonderful car and New Formula Red is a just perfect car for a small, flashy, fun sports car.

The '02 has a better rear convertible window, but, hello, it's a convertible and who the h--- cares what kind of a rear window it has when the top is down.

The '02 has tweeters in the doors but this is no big deal because it still has a poor stereo and if you don't care about the stereo the stock '01 is fine and if you do care, any model S2000 needs a major upgrade.

The mid-'02 and on have a redesigned oil jet bolt. The car has four and it costs $280 to change from the old design to the new one. Honda says it isn't necessary but did a recall in Europe (ONLY) to install the new ones. There is a mini-unacknowledged-by-Honda hp improvement in '02 and this might be the reason.

The '03 has some minor changes in the suspension.

The '04 has an engine change, major tranny and suspension changes, and a new look front and rear.

Buy the sexy, red '01 and you'll love it and you'll save $15,000 over what I spent.

:-)

Here's a Honda advertising picture of the '04 and I think the '01 looks even better:

I left a message at the dealership yesterday so hopefully they will return my call on monday. Anyway I can't really see the car since it is parked in the back lot but it looks extremely clean - I'm thinking maybe its repossesed and they have to hold it for a certain amount of time until they can sell it?
