Explain to him this is your hobby.

You also have to understand your dad tho, for people who doesn't care about cars and if you tell them how much your exhaust cost, they will call you stupid.

When i was teenager, my parents did samething. My family was very poor, ofcourse they are not going to understand me at all. My best way to enjoy the car was, keep the car stock as possible and just didn't tell them untill they find out.

just get the exhaust and put it on yourself. whats the worse that can happen??? you bought your intake, spoilers, painted the rims and brakes all by yourself and all while getting top grades in school.

if he don't like it you can just stomp your feet, kick, scream and slam your bedroom door after he sends you there.

you can do whatever you want. it's not like your dad is smart or anything. he probably doesn't know what it's like to be young and have a cool car.

he hasn't done anything for you except feed you, house you, buy you a car, he probably paid for the internet you're on right now looking to betray him.

do the man a favor and accept his demands

Was him into the sound of a great sounding car.. get a test pipe and run that first with the stock exhaust.. who knows that may satisfie yourself for a little while till you can talk him into the aftermarket one.

I'm with ur dad..he just doesn't want u to be a little ricer driving around town setting off alarms thinking ur cool..(Lol jk)

Honestly though, if u want an exhaust get something quiet and show ur dad that its not loud and obnoxious like the ti-c u want. I'm sure he won't mind.

Sheesh sounds like a pretty rough life you live. I paid for my first car with cash and my parents still wouldnt let me put money into it. Their roof, their rules, pretty simple policy. My dad always told me he didnt want a sewing machine parking in front of his house (old v8 guy) I would say just suck it up and deal with driving your measly stock s2k to school But on the flip side, there are ways around it. I gave cash to my girlfriend and she would buy me parts for my birthday and christmas, that worked the first couple of times
