Could MSRP go up next year?
I know that all this is just speculation as no one right now has any real hard figures of whats going to happen for the next model year, however; I was wondering what the boards general opinion was on whether the MSRP on the S2K will go up next year, considering its excellent sales rate and the possible addition of a glass rear window.

As for next year, my guess is MSRP moves up to 35k.
A year ago I had just placed a $500 deposit on a MY2001 S2000 at MSRP.
Then, on http://www.honda-acura.net someone said he had heard the MSRP would go up $6,000.00 for 2001. I had an upset tummy an a few sleepless nights over that post.
My dealer said, "You never know, but that isn't how AHM usually behaves."
Guess what. The price came down for 2001. Well, the MSRP went up $300 but that included a clock, an aeroscreen and floor mats; all of which would total more than $300.
This year we have just about the same dollar/yen ratio; a world wide economic slowdown; and a new-car-sales tailspin. In addition, the selling price of the S2000 is actually lower now than 12 months ago, even if the MSRP is $300 higher. I think you have to be nuts to guess that the MY2002 price will go up much.

I'm sure there will be a glass rear window and you will just attach it at four points. Also it will have an electric defroster.
It will be carried in a Glass Rear Window Carrier when in use.
Here's the Honda Glass Rear Window and Glass Rear Window Carrier:

Yes, Honda should have insulted itself by having issued the car under a different name.
They also should have given it a fruity Hollywood-friendly name, like del Sol or Sunster....

Remember in Jurassic Park, how the blood-sucking lawyer was suggesting they could charge any price of admission? Sitting in the theatre, did you secretly agree with the guy?
I don't think they'd raise the price without having made dramatic improvements to the car.
Yah, too bad they didn't badge it as an Acura and jack up the price -- you'd be da bomb.
