Sorry about not being more specific about my information on the glass rear window. To be honest I don't have any hard evidence at all that the rear window will be changed for the MY02 S2K's. Its just another one of the many rumors floating out there, but it does seem to have good reasoning behind it at least.

Wow, Sunster was my creation, also said Roadstar at one time. Hollywood here I come.

My un-edumacated guess is Honda will rise the price a reasonable $500 to $1,000. Still a great price for a lot of car.

As far as the glass window goes. Fat chance of that happening. Barry is right the only way to glass the back is to go hard.

The normal life cycle of a car is around 4 years before there is a redesign/face lift. If there was going to be a rear glass window, it would have made sense to have it in the beginning. Then the cost would be spread out the life cycle. If they do make it for another year or two, they would have to mark the price up higher to cover the cost of the top redesign.

If there is a 2002, you will be abale to order the top with the car and voila, you have a glass rear window with defroster. They are not having a problem selling the car and as such, why do any major improvements to it.

Honda of America doesn't even know if there will be a 2002 model. They are in the dark as much as we are. Honda of Japan knows though.

The S2000 is already Honda's highest profit car. They don't need to charge more, and won't.
