Default Couldn't find 5th gear with both hands

I posted a question about a week ago about having problems with the shifter going to the right of 5th, making 5th VERY hard to find. A couple of folks thought it might just be unique to my S2k.

Took it to the dealer, and they knew immediately what the problem was. Apparently the shift mechanism can get out of wack, and requires adjusting. Shifts like "hot butta" now. Haven't missed a shift since. Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem.

All I can say is WOW! A dealer actually fixed things in an S2000 without incident!
Congratulations! Ask who was the mechanic who fixed it and insist he takes care of your baby from now on.
Cheers,
Daniel

Yeah, no problem with the dealer, and a free loaner to boot.

It was not pretty shifting up from 4th and finding myself in a dead hole to the right of 5th. Is adjusting the shifter for this problem something I could have tackled myself? My S2K is just approaching two weeks old (for me), so I'm one of the newbies here.

Thanks,

Gary

I don't know why y'all are getting so much troubles with your local dealerships. I have no problem thus far. They were willing to replace and do whatever I had asked them.
