i'd only get the S2000 coupe if it was designed as a coupe from the beginning with all of its structural advantages leveraged (read: less weight). but since the S2000 was designed as a roadster (rigid X frame), just adding a roof would be, well ghetto......

If i wanted a coupe I would not have bought the S2000. Probably would have bought the G35C, 330Ci, or IS300. Maybe an old RX-7 or 300ZX.
I'm with you on that one...I probably would have bought a G35 Coupe.

I wanted the S2000 every since I first drove one back in 2000; it being a convertible had a lot to do with it.

Just a question from a S2000 newbie here ..

Has Honda killed the rumor of any coupe version -or- is there still some chance ?

I drive a FairladyZ .. love it -- but would have probably bought the SK2 if it had been in coupe form .. not just a removable hard top.

Why would Honda have to kill a 'rumour'? That's all it ever was.

Until Honda substantiate a rumour it is as likely as a Vertical Take Off and Landing S2000.

I really wanted a roadster. Given the choice between an S2K roadster or coupe, it would have been the roadster for me. If an S2K coupe only was offered, I'd be driving a Boxster right now (shudder).

Coupe. Even Lotus might be coming out with a Elise "coupe."

If you own a hardtop, take out the soft top junk and you'll be kind of close to owning a "coupe"...: )

There already is. It's called the Exige.
