OK, I tried the nail polish trick on my cracked side markers and posted some pics of the results. However, my wife didn't have any black nail polish so I used the closest color she had which was translucent purple (with sparkles ).

As you can tell from the pictures, it didn't work very well. The nail polish does cover up the cracks but it leaves an opaque film on the lights that's pretty noticeable (even though the nail polish was translucent purple). Check it out (big pictures, up close):

Just buy some new ones from hardtopguy, It's not like you are loosing a butt load of money here.

Hardtopguy has CR accessories in stock... buying from an s2ki vendor is always a safe route to go... (although, I'd say modifying a product usually voids the warranty, regardless of where or what you purchase)

hahaha, it covered up the cracks... but left a translucent purple haze... i would have gone out and bought some black nail polish instead of purple...
