Every S2000 I've seen has the 'cracking' on the bolster which really isnt cracking its kind of a crease. I think it happens when you get in and you kind of fold on the bolster. When I use conditioner it almost goes away. Its true, our leather isn't good. I would have preferred cloth. I'm thinking about getting the wet okole neopryne seat covers. I'd probably get red center inserts with black sides. They run about 300 for custom covers.

Gotta agree with KeithD. Those aren't cracks, but creases. I see them in my car. I use Lexol on my leather and it helps a little, but the creases are still there. The leather that Honda used is just really low grade stuff.

They are custom fitted to the S2000s seat. They are neopryne, and have a rubber back so they dont slip. Additionally they are waterproof. They are attached very well to many different places on the seat., and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Someone was selling some used before you may want to do a search for Wet Okole. It should bring them up.

I think you could use protectant on your seats let it dry, slap these on and be good to go for quite awhile.

The company's site is www.wetokole.com. They will send you swatches of the colors and everything. As soon as I have some extra fun money I'll probably buy a set myself.

considering that these cracks are zigzagging and far more horizontal than vertical, i don't believe them to be 'creases' from the bolster folding when i get in and out - it would have to fold downwards, something that's not happening. it's multiple lines, as well, which would imply that the bolster is squashing like an accordion - not happening either.

Are they cracks or creases? Remember, leather is a skin, and the parts of the hide where the legs join the body will have creases. If this part of the hide is on your seat in a visible place, it will look cracked, but if it's just a crease, it may not be something to worry about. A crack is an actual split in the leather. If you post a photo, I can tell you if you need to worry.

If i'm not mistaken i think that in Japan you have the choice of getting cloth seats in the S2000, its the same seat except that instead of perforated leather inserts it has cloth, the bolsters are still vinyl just like ours. Somebody posted a picture awhile ago, maybe if they see this thread they will post the picture again. If my seats get really bad after a couple years i'm gonna try and get my hands on those seats, jdm parts are so damn expensive though, i would think that those seats are a little cheaper than the leather ones.

if the side bolsters are vinyl, then why is it even creasing in the first place? and civic si seats are nicer than the s2000's? that doesn't make sense - not attacking anyone but if it's true, i think i would be offended. have to go check out an si myself.
