if the side bolsters are vinyl, then why is it even creasing in the first place?

The seating surfaces (including the top of the side bolsters) are leather. Cheap yes. Overprocessed yes. But it is leather. I have the problem too.

Or it might not.

I took really good care of my 2000 TL seats, conditioning them monthly with lexol products. The surface of the leather delaminated in multiple spots, especially at the seams and in the wrinkles of the leather. The driver's seat was replaced at 1 year.

I hope to have better luck with the S2000. 1 year and no such problems.

apply lexol leather conditioner, it helps prevent it. also, when getting IN, just try jumping over the side and try to sit right in the middle of the seat. i guess since im lighter and smaller , its much easier.

My seats stay clean , maybe its because I only drive my car on shiny sundays.

What do you expect from a highly engineered roadster for only around $30K+? Can't expect high quality in everything. They need to keep costs down in some areas to make it affordable to the public. AIN'T I RIGHT? HELL YEAH!!!
