i had a crappy repair when i had my 2001 CL type S. I kept complaining to the insurance company that the color did not match on the car... finally what happened was the place that repainted by car went out of business...so I had to take it to another certified body shop by state farm and got it resprayed... what people dont know is if you take the car to a certified body shop by your insurance company, then the work is warrantied for life.

I hate to say this but as told to you earlier, it maybe best to get rid of the car. It sounds to me like a problem far worse then a simple alignment. it sounds like your chassis is not square or your suffering from serious bumpsteer or rollsteer and/or you have bent suspension parts. I had exactly the same symptoms as you with my last mustang and my k member was damaged such that the suspension pickup points were bent and the wheels were not square, as a result the car dog tracked which sounds a lot like whats happening with your car. I ended up overhauling the entire suspension and x'd the car myself with a new k member.

Most body shops are incompetent and can hardly ever get a car squared up to factory standards and end up fatiguing frame rails and other metal, in the process of bending frame and chassis pieces. Im not sure if this was done to your car or not but if so, your car will never be as structurally as sound as it used to be.

No to sound like a pessimist, I dont know what to say other then keeping the car as long as you have to. Its a sad part of owning such a nice car, but you win some and lose some.

$16K in damages is a lot... and unfortunately your car may never be the same again. Trying to fix it may in fact make it worse. My advice is to sell or trade it in, even though you're not in the position to.

Complain like crazy and try to sell it to the insurance company. Looks like your car is now a lemon. Tell them you want a car that is the same as the car you had before the accident. That is what insurance is for. I would let the adjuster drive the car. You're car is being bounced around and will never get fixed right. Time to play hardball! If the insurance adjuster doesn't help, go higher up the ladder. If that fails, then just park your car in the first stall to the insurance companies main entrance with a sign inside the front window for all to see, telling of your misfortunes.

Just curious Mas but have you tried taking the car to Diagle's? They are probably the most experienced alignment shop in western Mass. and seem to have a reputation for either fixing things that others can't or at least diagnosing the problem.

Which body shop has been working on your car and which dealer shop is working on it? Just curious as I know some people.
