crash rates
the S was ranked among the highest to insure recently. does that mean that there are lots of crashes (since it can't be that expensive to repair) compared to how many exist total? anyone know the rate of crashes for the S?

I suspect you'll find it's a commonly crashed car. Firstly it's not the safest car on earth for the inexperienced, secondly it's often young drivers who drive them. Really two strikes against them.
Statistics don't lie. That's why males under 25 pay insane insurance rates. Insurance is like legalized gambling. They run the statistics and charge accordingly. Like at a casino, the house always wins. If their profits go down, your premiums go up.
