Creaking Seats

Is that the high=pitched chattering when going over expansion joints/ruts on the road? I thought it might be the top...

I just put some cheapo aftermarket seats to save my seat from any more wear from my butt. Only about 450 for both and just bag your old seats and store them. Plus they are better for twisties.

Velcro stopped that noise for me, apply the furry side directly to the seat like this:




It also stops the rattle of the passenger side seatbelt on the side panel, and the rattle of the keys on the steering column:

nice post s2ka!

I tried putting a couple of magazines behind the seat - didn't work. So I folded up a t-shirt several times and wedged it right under the headrest between the back of the seat and the cabin. It keeps the seat from rattling against the cabin with passenger and without.

The back part of the seat rubbing on the roll hoops needs some thought. If the back of the seats were cloth it wouldn't make the noise. I usually run my seats up far enough that they don't touch the back, but when tall people move the seat all the way back I always hear the squeaks.
