Default Cruise control problem

Hi,

For a while, my car has always had an issue of sometimes the CC will turn off by itself... even without touching of the pedals, or driving over a bump or something

(The light on the actual CC button stays on, but the light on the cluster indicating CC mode turns off).

On my last road trip, for the first 30 minutes of driving, CC would refuse to go on! About 1/10 times I press the "Set" button, it will go on, then almost instantly deactivate. For the next hour, it would go on for a few seconds, and then die. And then for the last hour of the trip, it would go on, but intermittently turn off (as it behaved before).

Explanations? I have a hardwired a radar detector which feeds off the fusebox on the 12v-on-with-ignition. Otherwise no modifications

Any one have any info on this?

I just got the s2k recently, and drove for 2hrs for the first time yesterday, and the dam cruise wouldn't go on.....the green light in the button is on, but when I hit set, nothing happens.........I was going 70+mph

Is there a known issue?
