I think for the true s2k enthusiasts, they keep their vehicle to the utmost pristine condition they can. It may just be a car to you, but to some, it's a prized possession.

To OP: I put a drink in the second cup-holder, and lay down the center separator, so it doesn't slide around. If there is no drink, my cell is in there for emergencies. Don't talk/text while driving! Especially in MT!

I eat and drink in my car all the time. The cupholders are crappy so I use it for my cellphones.

in the 4th post somebody mentioned that they use the cup holder to carry their pager. And nobody has said a thing.

Yeah...I suppose maybe Law enforcement, or EMTs. But it still conjures up images of a drug dealer or a doctor from the 80s

I keep lots of things in there, mostly change...but never drinks. I find that the best cupholder in an s2000 is the space between your thigh and the center console right where the seatbelt receiver is, I've been using that forever and never had an issue even with open drinks and large fountain cups.

I don't think my AP1 cupholder is that bad, it's just in a bad spot. The worst cupholder arrangement was my wife's Contour SVT. The S2000 cupholder is a marvel by comparison.

I know physicians who have pagers, and there's volunteer firefighters as well.
