Cup holder removable?

Hi. A previous owner has “filled in” the cup holder in my 2003 car. I think it was converted to a phone holder or something. I can’t imagine I can easily remove the obstruction “from above”. Does anyone know if the cup holder is screwed in? so if I lift the centre armrest etc. I can remove just the cup holder from it to work on it?

I believe they are screwed in from the bottom so you must remove the entire center console to remove it. The good news is they are still available and under $50, part number is 77230-S2A-013ZA.
