Did you rear end someone or did they back into you?

I rear ended the Chrysler... was trying to get into the freeway only lane, but was being jockied by a dickhead who wanted to match my speed. Spent too much time looking in the side mirror cursing his ass. I had just dropped into 2nd and was going to bully my way over when I looked up and everyone in front of me was stopped
