Cut out in carpet
Just discovered a hole the size of a 4"x4" rectangular cut out in the carpet on the drivers side floor!!! I'm nor sure if this is done at the factory or if the morons at the dealership cut the carpet when i installed the factory alarm. It's located next to the notch that the floor mat attaches to. Does anyone else have this? If this is done at the factory....what's the purpose? Can someone answer this question? Thanks for the help.
There is a 3 inch slit done by the factory. The morons at the dealership cut the HUGE square when installing the floor mat anchor. The instructions probably say to, but I bet you can do it without cutting that big of a flap.

Our cars come with two parallel slits on the drivers side for the floor mat mount. I had my carpet replaced after I took it in and asked to have the mount tightened and they proceeded to make my two slits into one big tear. This was about a month ago, I was at the same dealer yesterday and saw a new '01 S2K so I decided to sit in it. Instead of two parallet slits, one side was completely cut so it was more like a flap. It is a terrible design.
