I'm 25 and just couldn't see the S being my only car. I have an 09 Civic sedan as my DD, and my wife's Jeep to haul crap in. What do you guys do when you buy a new TV? What if you want to go get some mulch for your yard? If you go on vacation with any woman (don't care if its wife, girlfriend, sister, mother) how in the world do you fit all their luggage in the car?

I sometimes have to drive customers around at work, so I need a sedan to do that (and a clean, respectable one at that). Else I would be rocking an old EG hatch as a beater. I love older kinda crappy cars that you just don't really give a crap about. I used to have a 97 Civic coupe that I never washed, I never vacuumed, I didn't worry about door dings in parking lots, and so-forth. It was great. Everywhere I go with my S or my new Civic I am paranoid about all that. I have to keep the Civic clean for customers and I have to keep the S clean because its my S.

The car looks pretty good for being a daily driver though.
I've daily driven mine for the last 5 years

Drove it for the summer months, did 8k miles in 3 months. Picked up a 79' yota for the week days and put the S in the garage. Driving a truck like this really, REALLY makes you appreciate every aspect of the S2000.

I daily drove mine for four years in Chicago, worked great. But then I got to close to 100k miles, the old girl started showing her age, and my wife and I had a daughter, so I picked up a TSX. Now I split dd duties between the S and TSX in the summer, and store the S in the winter.

My wife has always had a practical car (Liberty and the Jetta) for travel and hauling stuff, but honestly those situations are so rare you can rent a HD truck or have stuff delivered the 2-3 times a year they occur and still dd a great sports car.

I'm guessing most of the S = only car are single guys, with lifestyles that allow micro-cargo capabilties and single passenger (and friends with larger cars & pickups).

Those that DD, but have resposibilities such as you describe, have a 2nd car, not a beater.

I'd think just the opposite, it's a lot of married or attached dudes whose wives/gf's drive sedans or SUVs for hauling and frees us up for having impractical sports cars.
