I DD mine. 30 miles a day on the brutal roads of nyc/nj. Just slap some blizzak for the winter and you are good to go all year round. I been driving mine through the recent snow in the northeast with no problems. Only complaint I have is

a) the freaking cup holder is in way of my shifting excitment.
b) really impratical to hit vtec on the local streets of nyc.

I bought my S to be a weekend/fair weather car. My daily is an '02 GTI that I have had since new. Still in nice shape with only 53K on the clock so I would not call it a "beater". The S is just not practical enough for me to be my only car.

To DD the S, you must be single, have a stock S and has a sore ass after each drive. Regardless i am FI so driving the S daily is out of the question.

I have a 4th gen Prelude for a dd but I still drive the S more. I don't mind putting miles on my S. When the mileage gets too high I'll swap in a low-mileage JDM engine. I have the same plan for the Prelude but with 187k on the clock the engine still feels as strong as ever.

I do have a beater only because it was my car before I got my S last month (which was previously a garage queen 03 w/16000 on it). Now that the weather in Chicago is finally warming up a bit I'm driving my S every day and loving every second of it. I feel that since it's been cooped up for so much of its life it NEEDS some miles on it to be happy. This fall if my damn truck hasn't blown up yet I'm gonna sell it and buy some winter tires for S2IE and not look back. I LOVE my car.

Engaged, no kids, Buddy club race seat, custom built konis with 700#f 600#r springs, 17x9 volks with dunlop star specs, daily drive it about 1000-1200 miles a month and never have any issue... then it was stock last summer i drove about 2000 miles a month including a 4 day a week 50 mile round trip commute, no issues with comfort...

Having a car only to stare at it in a garage is a crime. Especially an S2000. Isn't the reason you buy a car is to drive it?
