Daily Driving
I know many of you use your s2k for a daily driver, as do I (for now). And I was wondering how high you rev your engine as you pass through the gears. I'm mainly concerned that in my attempts to preserve the car and my gas mileage I might end up straining the engine or something but keeping the rpm's too low.
So, when should I shift to treat my S as nicely as possible?
P.S. I've been averaging 25 mpg with my best around 28.

I drive mine pretty aggressive and im at 216 on this tank with about 4 lines left on the gas bar. I hope my car can take the way I drive it and still hold up, just broke 55k miles on my 2001

There seems to be no real be all end all technique... I recommend trying many and seeing what works best for you.
My car: 2001 with intake, header, HFC, and exhaust, and 113k miles
My Technique while accelerating normally: I start shifting at 4k and as i decrease my rate of acceleration getting closer to my cruise speed I start lowering the shift point by feel until I am cruising at just below 3k
this is the technique that gets me the best mileage with mixed driving and my driving style. I get 23-26 MPG depending on how much hwy vs city driving and also depending on how much I beat on the car.
