Damaged my baby... looking for advice
I had a sickening altercation yesterday evening when I lost traction, spun around, flew up on a sidewalk (not sure how that happened) at about 40 mph
. Nobody was hurt and there was no property damage (other than my pride and my 2 month old S2K). I have significant damage to the rear wheel (and who knows what other suspension parts). I had it towed to the dealer this afternoon to look at the mess. Apparently, I clipped a street sign also and it left a nice dent above the rear wheel well. I'm wondering if it is a good idea to have the dealership do the bodywork or to try to find a specialty bodyshop? also, anyone have any experience with what to expect as far as suspension damage- any thoughts would be appreciated.
And yes, I'm an idiot for driving too fast on a damp road.
