I just love it when they say "i knew you were going to be trouble when you walked in" I just say back... what? like I actually expect the job done right instead of look over the mistakes your moron techs make"
The real mistake lies in the customer though... not enough people calling these morons out when they do make a mistake so they get sloppy. Not to mention the turnover in these places is nuts... noone learns how to do the job right...

Carwashes are just plain bad news, you KNOW they're not gonna be as careful as you are, and the more people you have touching your car/doing stuff to your car, the more likely something stupid will happen (a pebble in the drying towel etc.) Plus washing them dry cars, you can almost see the swirl marks being made.
I also know I'll spend the time to get every detail done right, carwashes handle volume and just don't care as much about the car as you do.
