Default Damaged seat rails

Hello

Have any of you had your Seat Rails go bad ? I will describe my case, say I am at a toll booth and I need to fish in my pocket for some change, I have to kind of push back a bit to lift myself up so I can reach into my pocket. When I do this my left drivers side rail will give out and click back one or two slots then stick. The seat will be locked in again but be slightly ajar. I took it to honda and guess what they said - "Your really shouldn't do that, the seats aren't made to be pushed back against". I am not pressing back hard at all to make this happen.

Thanks
Patrick

Sounds like your seat wasn't in the slots properly to begin with. Note to mention, if you're lifting your torso off the seat, all your weight is being transfered to your feet and back. So, yes, you are pushing quite hard against the back of the seat. Don't know what to suggest, except keep your change in the cup-holder instead of your pockets when you're driving. Not sure if this helps at all...

I agree with toosteely

you can however adjust the slots by simply loosening the frame rail bolts (4 on the floor) and adjusting as nesessary. I had to do this when I removed the seats once and moved the rails when the were out.
