GageLane, I feel your pain ... my dad did something similar to my car... but at least he payed for everything... hope your sisiter will too (maybe put in a little guilt trip here and there to get some other favours done too! )

Good luck w/ the repairs, sorry to hear about the accident.

I agree! Don't leave it for them to play with until you have 600+ miles on it.

While your sister may well be a dumbass she can't be replaced and the car can be fixed. Keep in mind which one is really the most important. It still sucks!

something i've learned the hard way - always set the alarm, no matter where you park or how quickly you think you'll be back to the car. i've had my (other) car hit while parked on the street in front of my house by someone who then just drove away and my bf's mom pulled basically the same stunt as your sister.

in the first case, if the alarm had been on, it would have started screeching and the offender might have been less inclined to just leave the scene (both me and my dad would've come running outside anyway). in the second case, the alarm would have gone off as soon as the bumper hit the car and then she wouldn't have proceded to drag her bumper down the entire length of the door and rear fender.

but then again, a semi backed over my bf's car and didn't hear the alarm screeching. maybe this is what your sister did?

scars on a new S are truly painful.
