For a small ding like that, no. You can barely see it. Is your car in perfect show room condition that has no chips, scratches or dents on the entire car?? It's not like our cars are Ferraris or Lambos.
on another note, got the estimate, it is roughly $600 dollars to get the dent out, and repaint the entire quarter panel.

If someone dented my car and I was lucky enough to catch them I would make sure their insurance fixed everything no matter how small.
Most people like having their nice things stay nice.
I'd have it fixed! Be careful on the shop you choose... it makes a HUGE difference. You could always check out the cars they are repairing/have repaired to get an idea of their quality of work.
* You're lucky your car is Berlina Black and NOT Silverstone
My experience has taught me this...
- Inspect your car in bright (over head) sunlight (not in the early am or late pm) -- THIS IS A MUST
- Don't inspect the car inside the shop
- Move the car around in the sunlight
- Inspect from all angles, stand high, get on the ground, be up close, go back 5 feet, 10 feet, 30 feet (TRUST ME)
- Ask the shop if they use a lot of solvents in their paint or clear coat. More solvents = longer cure time. Too much solvent in the paint can make the paint wrinkle around corners (very noticeable on Silverstone)
- TELL the shop to "color sand" (remove the orange peel look)
- Inspect the paint for contamination (dirt or other things) stuck in the paint/clear
- Look for buffer trails, if any exist have them remove them, or jump over the the wash and wax forum to get some help. Body shops are great at repairs, but often suck at detailing.
- Run your fingers on the repaired area and any area re-clear coated and feel for any edges that need to be smoothed out
- Remember, it's humans doing the repair and even the best shops can over look a detail. Sometimes you don't notice until you've had the car for a day or 2 and you get the right angle. However, good/great shops will work with you!

I dont care if it a primered kia its his car and he is owed compensation. Now if you are willing to let is slide good on ya but he has the right to have his car fixed. This kid will be the same one that sideswipes your car and leaves later in life if he isn't taught the lesson now. I bought a element for the wife brand new in 03 took it to work 2 weeks after we bought it and it was keyed front to back. I was ticked and had it repaired I could have lived with it but it was a new car and I wanted it to look nice for my wife. (this car has a magnet for dings and careless people and now looks terrible but still runs great). I did have to have the body shop respray it 3 times to get it right its that sand mica color. I used to work at a dealer trust me your better off in the long run to have that pulled out, if you have it cut out and replaced you will never get the corrosion protection in those areas like from the factory if they cut and weld. if you have them cut and weld I will bet that will be a problem area in the future if you keep the car 12 or more years. gl I hope it gets fixed like you want.
