Default daves2k eats it.

Driving last night with a friend and showing off a little (like we all do) He says "Lets see what she will do!"

8k drop around the corner by my house and the next thing I know I am in the neighbors yard with a tree stuck in the side of my baby.

Just a simple little mistake and now I am headed for the shop with broken axle, smashed rear quarter, rear bumber in sad shape and a very sad Stook owner.

This is a powerful car that can and will get away from you. Trust me.

No one hurt. Lesson well learned.

See you in a few weeks.

ps This car is ugly with a tree in the trunk....I don't recommend it.

Damn, talk about peer pressure ... That's why I always hold back on stuff like that. You either make a mark of yourself or a fool and suffer the consequences. I hope you get it sorted out soon.

My sympathy and I hope you get repair work satisfying your highest expectations. Kinda like letting the clutch out on an over reved motorcycle isn't it? No torque, maybe not measured torque, but power.

Man that sucks. Messed up your car and probably really pissed up your neighbor. Glad you're okay and sorry you had to learn this the hard way.

Buuuuuuuuummer. BTW, S2000s don't look too good wedged in between two other vehicles, either.

This should be a cautionary tale to those new to sports car. It is MUCH cheaper to learn at a track day and spin where you can't hit anything, than it is to learn RWD subtleties on the street.

sorry to hear this... hope others can learn from our lessons-
mine happened early on in my ownership when i vteced a corner with a resulting power slide and then the rear into a curb. my damage wasnt as bad as yours (i was able to fix all but the scratched up rim), but our lessons are the same:
dont power and corner at the same time...
or at least do not full power and tight corner. the car will handle power in a modest corner or less power in a tighter corner- after my "experience", i found myself very cautious in corners. i am learning the car's limits again.
hope you get your car back soon-
