Default Day Time Driving Lights

If I used my HIDs as day time driving lights. How would this affect its life expectancy?

I use the HIDs 100% of the time, day or night.

I read somewhere that they have a lifetime of 9000 hours.

Figure at 40 miles per hour average, that's 360,000 miles.

No problem!

I agree, people say it's not good to have auto HIDs, but if that's the case why are they on all the luxury cars?
