DC_AP1 JUST COOPERATE! SORRY AJR
also if i wanted to save on importing taxes i would have told you to fully insure it and to send it as a gift. Also did I mention that I payed out a grand total of I believe 1930.00 or something in that ball park, hmmm plenty for full insurance and shipping if you ask me. I have the paypal receipt if I need to bring that out as well.
DC_AP1: So whats the problem? If the shipper, (UPS) stated they are going to cover the costs, in this case the $700 that the items were insured for, and all you need to do is fill out a form and UPS will pay, why dont you do it? its not going to cost you anything. and will help fix this situation.
Midnightsuns: as a merchant who uses UPS, I have been in this situation before. every now and then UPS will loose a package, its not the sellers fault or the buyers, its UPS fault. As long as the seller can fill out a short little form online UPS will cover the loss. you being the buyer can not handel this with UPS, because you are not the one doing business with UPS, the seller is the one who dose business with UPS and that is why he has to be the one to get the refund back. if this continues to be a problem UPS dose have a legal team in every country that they do business in, and they can start an investigation for you if it comes to that.

I would guess that AJ-R was on the shipping invoice because Dickson, DCAP1, used their account so that he could send it out from the AJ shop rather than actually taking it to the UPS store. Just a hunch.
Now, both sides have points. I dont understand why you are so mad at DC_AP1 and not at UPS. Afterall, who lost the package? You said that UPS said that they can not tell you anything, but that they did tell you that the shipper had not tried to contact them. That is a contradiction?!
Hope this all gets resolved, but I have dealt with AJ-R directly and have been nothing but great sellers. I have dealt with Dickson on his own parts and have never had a problem with him as well.

OK DC_AP1, Please post the pm or message that states that I wanted lower insurance. I had just come back from Iraq with huge pockets and would have had no complaint with paying a couple bucks to insure this package. Since when do you not insure such a valuable package? Maybe it's my fault for assuming such a big name business would automatically insure that they got the package to their customers. ie confirmation signature.
And the part where noone was home to recieve the package when YOU should've known when the package was arriving since I provided you the tracking number the second day I shipped it?
Or the part where you told me that your landlord decided to pick up the box since you and your family moved out while you were out of town and decided to throw away the box and then coming back at me asking if the package went back to me or not?

SC_AP1: Whats the reason that you dont want to fill out a report with UPS? it only takes a few moments, and this whole thing can get resolved at no cost to you.
what you are saying dose not make sence. this is not a mater between the reciever and UPS. the reciever and UPS did not do any business. you, being the seller, did business with UPS, you paid them to deliver a package for you. there for it is your claim to file with UPS.
I am sure the buyer has already called you or emailed you a claim wondering where his package is.
the reciever can not make a claim with UPS, simply because he did not do any business with UPS. the reciever can only make a claim with the seller, and it seems he has already done so

The deal with my parents(they separated and turned the keys to the house in on March 8th or as stated before the day of delivery) is irrelevant because there wouldn't have been anyone at the house at 3:25 pm anyways(both parents work and brother has school till 3:30), my brother arrived at the house to pick up the package a 3:55 because I called and informed them of the supposed delivery of the package. He says there was nothing there the Owner of the house was contacted and he says that all mail was being forwarded to the new address however no worker had been by the house within the previous time frame. So once again the package should have been there but it was not,(UPS messed up). All I need is for you to do is make the effort to file the claim paperwork. Not trying to get you personally for money or parts out of your own account, just need your cooperation to file the UPS claim. (UPS can disclose all information up until the actual claims papers which are solely between the seller and the courier) How hard is it to explain that to you?
I'm just gonna call Ben and have him sort this out seeing as he has a better rep as a businessman and am sure he will have this sorted quickly and calmly. I don't need this stress, first I'm out 1930.00 then I have to fight with you about simply filing claim paperwork? this is retarded.... I'd rather pull my own teeth. HOW CAN THE DELIVERY OF THE PACKAGE BE MY RESPONSIBILITY? I CAN'T EXACTLY MAKE SURE THE PACKAGE IS SENT CORRECTLY? ALL I CAN DO IS GIVE YOU THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF CASH TO MAKE IT HAPPEN WHICH I BELIEVE I DID 130.00 SHOULD'VE BEEN PLENTY AND IF IT WASN'T THEN WHY WASN'T I ASKED FOR MORE? I WOULD NEVER HAVE SOLD SOMETHING PARTIALLY INSURED! IT'S BAD BUSINESS. Please just file the paperwork, I don't want to go the legal route, and yes I have consulted an attorney with all the evidence of the transaction and he says he could get UPS to give him paperwork confirming their investigation results. I just don't want to screw another s2k owner over no matter how bad a transaction. But I won't just sit around and get screwed because of someone's negligence and laziness.

Midnightsuns, First of all.. I think if the tracking number status says "Delivered", u're the one who is responsible for it. Second of all, when you were about to purchase the product from the seller, you should have requested the buyer to buy an insurance, if not... the seller doesnt' have to be responsible for jack.
The seller have already his job; ship it as u said to your address. It's not like he tried to scam you and didnt' ship it at all. Because the UPS tracking number have already said it "delivered" Means the UPS have already dropped it off to you. I dont' care if u went to Iraq or what. Once the package is out and delivered, the Seller doesnt' have to be responsible for nothing. It's between UPS and you. Also I will speak for UPS as well. UPS guy dropped off the package at ur front door I believe. I assume that you really didnt' get the package, but it's ur house though. Or maybe someone stole it from your front door... who knows? but if someone stole it from your front door, why should be the seller need to deal w/ it? it's ur own house, ur own neigberhood. And UPS have delievered to you. Again if you're not clear
1. Seller have already shipped the package to you
2. UPS tracking number already said Delivered.
I dont' care if you get it or not, it's your own responsibility to do whatever you want or contact UPS.
I'm not trying to speak for someone but it's just the fact.
Plus.. A & J is a big company and there is no point for any single employee need to cheat about just a little spoon caliper and rotors. Plus, they have been in business for more than 10 years and I'm sure they are smart enough not to ruin their reputation just because of this.
