DC_AP1 JUST COOPERATE! SORRY AJR

also i did not ask to devalue the product for "cheaper" shipping... that would be one of the dumbest things ever... why partially insure something??? I wanted cheaper prices I would of told him to send it as a gift and/or not insure it at all. Whats insurance anyway like a couple bucks... So if I went ahead and bought something for 1800 dollars, gave the seller 1900 why would i want to skimp on the insurance? I already have plenty of cash there to cover it. This $700 coverage seems to be a ploy on the sellers part to meet a requirement half ass and to have it appear that it has been fully insured... No one expected this package to be lost, cause if it hadnt the transaction would of went smoothly (ie delivered and received) and there would of been no second guessing on the insurance issue. But unfortunely the worst happened.

"customer is always right"?
"see rule #2"?
"Take it as a loss- it's a tax write-off"?
Ahh, yes another person who does not own their own business, but is a "business genius"
I do own my own business:
1) Customer is sometimes right, sometimes wrong.
2) See #1
3) Business Loss? Tax write-off? What the hell are you babbling about.
You know how many "widgets" you have to sell to make $1,800?

Its the buyer's responsibility to request insurance, not the seller's.
If the package shows delivered, its the buyer's responsibility to trace it.
AJ Racing has nothing to do with this transaction, except one of their employees made a personal transaction with someone else and used their UPS account to ship from. Why even slander a great vendor for?
Its a huge mess that could have easily been avoided if the buyer asked for insurance.

$103 sounds about right from Vancouver Canada to NC for shipping alone. Insurance is always optional and extra. It is not the seller's responsibility to request insurance, it is the buyer's and at his own expense.
In business even online business, it's as if the two parties are there with each other in a store for instance. Party A(myself) made a deal with Party B(DC_AP1) where he received cash for a good. A gave B the cash and is waiting for B to hand him the product. B then made a deal with Party C(UPS) to give A the good in his place in exchange for money so he himself has a deal with Party C. A has no deal with C only with B. Whatever happens between Party B and C is irrelevant to A as he gave B what was agreed in the deal and now A is still waiting for B to complete his part of the deal.
so let's break this down
Deal 1- A gives B money: B gives A product
Deal 2-B makes deal with C; B gives C money, C provides service.
Problem C botches deal with B.This is a problem with Deal #2 which I have no part in.
A is still waiting for B to complete the deal. So if no insurance is purchased then it is still B's responsibility to deliver the good as described in the agreement. Insurance is not for A it is in fact for B in the deal he struck with C. Simple Business Law, get it? got it? good.

Thats fine, except DC-AP1 is not a business. This is a personal transaction, not a business one between a business and the consumer.
B's responsibility is to send you the product that A paid for. B isn't responsible should A decide not to request or pay extra for insurance. B isn't responsible should C mishandle or lose the package. Insurance is to insure the product gets to B by C and cover any losses should the product not arrive to B. A's job is done when the product is handed off to C to ship.
The only one getting OWNED is you apparently. No Spoon brakes, out of $1900, at the most you can recover $700, no one to blame except yourself for not paying a few measly extra bucks to insure your own shit.
PS - I hope you don't run a business, because you suck at it.

I made a deal with him to give me a product in tact my money wasn't broken or lost in the transaction. So why should I suffer for him not getting me what I payed for in one piece? Insurance is for the sender as UPS states which is in all essense of the word a business that is why I cannot handle the claim the seller has to do that. I payed for him to give me the product but due to distance he chose to have someone give it to me in his place. Believe me I've consulted a pretty good small business lawyer and this was what came out of his mouth so for future references to those who sell items online, you may want to check into what i'm saying also paypal abides by these rules as well. Also I checked how much shipping would be 103.00 would cover insurance for the package and shipment. hmmmmmmmmm
who ever you payed the money to to get the product they are the ones who are liable. it dose not mater that it was some other party using their account, when you get you credit card statement or paypal statement, who ever accepted that money from the buyer is liable.
also it is the sellers duty to make sure that the good purchased get to the buyer.
still I dont see the problem, if UPS says they are going to pay, then fill out the paper work and let them pay.
I hate to see lawyers get involved in this, but if the sellers do not want to fill out a report with UPS, then its time to find a lawyer to go after what ever business you sent your money to. You will likely be abble to have them cover all your lawyer fees and court cost as well.
