How often does everyone use their dead pedal? I find that I hardly use it. It seems like I'm always shifting so I keep my foot up over the clutch, leg weight over my heel. It gets tiresome at times. The only time I really use it for a length of time is when I'm cruising on the hwy in 6th.

I've been trying to create a new habit of shifting my foot from dead pedal to clutch between shifts, using my heel as an anchor. I'm guessing that is the proper way to use the dead pedal.

Use mine all the time. My heel stays in place, but the ball of my foot rotates off the dead pedal to the clutch. Works like a charm for me.

My friend actually wore out the clutch on his Mustang in <5kmi because he always held his foot over the clutch pedal. He didn't know it, but he was slipping the clutch the whole time, demolishing the throwout bearings...
