Oh and congrats Incubus. Id accept that response happily but ask them to notify you if they think that something might get damaged before they do the work. You really should ok them to go ahead with the work if damages are at your responsibility.

Uh, of course they do, and there would be no denying of responsibility because there's no way that the hood damage could attributed to the fact that it's aftermarket... the damage would have occured if it was CF or aluminum.

If they were working on a part attached to the hood, then the fact that it was non-OE would be EXACTLY like the situation being discussed on this thread!

I think that we aren't disagreeing here just focussing on different points of the argument.

The fact is they damaged part of his car period

Whether or not that part is oem or aftermarket is not the issue period

The funny thing is, the body shop damaged the tint on the passenger widow not three weeks earlier. That may make thing rough for me getting them fixed.
