I cant believe hondaguy is trying to sell a s2k at $35,000. Make a few phone calls and you can easily get one for $30000 or less

BTW I have nothing against hondaguy trying to sell his cars at $35k or even $40k but I think here is the wrong place.

Everybody's got to learn at some point. I bought my new Prelude Type SH in 1998. It was the first manual-transmission car that I owned. I had learned a little bit, but I still had trouble the first week working the clutch. I am surprised that I was able to drive it off the dealer lot in SF and down to the South Bay where I lived. I plan on owning many nicer manual tranny cars in the future, and I'd rather mess up the tranny on a $25k car rather than on an $80k car. Four-and-a-half years later (and 74k miles later), the car still has the original tranny, clutch, AND all four brakes!

Just to clarify: I, HondaGuy347 (there is someone entitled just "HondaGuy" I believe), am not selling anything, I was just mentioning a conversation I had with a salesman. I think you were referring to Hondarobot who was telling me about an S2000 he was selling at $35k.

Just for the record, I live near a Honda dealer in CT that has always treated me well (we have bought maybe half a dozen cars there in the past), and they are the ones who I will go to when it is time to trade up to my S2000, and I am not interested in buying used at all. This will be my first "real" car purchase (not a $2k clunker), and I want a new car that I plan on keeping for a looong time, plus I want to know it's been broken in the right way. It will be more costly, but it's worth it to me in peace of mind.
