Decisions.....decisions
Tough call. It really comes down to driving them both and seeing what you value the most.
Does this P-car have an extended warranty?
THose cars can be expensive to maintain, as you probably know.

Thanks for the input.........
When I drove the Porche I was surprised with the torque of the Boxster "S"....It was fast....... I love the way it drived but I will tell you it didn't jump out at me when I got out and looked at it.........IMO I agree the S2K looks better but it is a "Honda"...... I told my wife......I can afford the Porche new but I have plenty of time to buy one. For now I want to "Drive" the S2K before they go out of production sometime next year.
I'm set to buy mine in June this year cause I'm going out to sea w/the Navy. When I get back I'm stuck with the decision to buy the 04 or wait to see what happens with the 05!!!!.
Research is saying that Honda wants to come out with the S2200 which is a coupe not a convertable with about 10 more hpr. I want the convertable but I don't want to buy a 04 and then get beat out by an 05.
Sigh........I guess I'll just quit BS'n and get my damn car so I can enjoy it as soon as possible..
Thanks again....

Long time ago they did a test between Boxter S and the S2000, the s2k matched it and or beat it, most of the areas. The only thing it didnt get good points on are human comfort stuff. Also boxter are more driver friendly. You would have to know how to drive well to beat a boxter with a S2000
I like them both. Performance wise, they are equal. They are both excellent cars. The biggest decision maker for me is the fact that the S2000 is NEW and the other is USED with almost no warranty left. In the end, its up to your taste and what is more important to you... looks, brand, reliability, safety, resale and most importantly, what gives you the best smiles when you drive em.
I say you get the Boxster - youve made a few statements that indicate that having a Porsche is more important to you than having a Honda.
The people who love the S2000 the most are those who dont care so much about that. Youll probably regret not having the Porsche in time, IMO.

Although the Boxster "S" is a great car, it's still most likely not that Porsche that you have dreamed of your entire life. If you get the Boxster you will be getting the companies excuse for the 911.
My vote would be to save your money for a few years and get the porsche that you have have probably always wanted to get.
Or do not compromise and opt for the four year old option. You should be able to get an 01-02 Carrera Convertible for mid 40's. 10 grand should only be a single active year(ish) of saving money to make up the difference in payment or out right cash.
Now dont get me wrong I would personally get the S2000 over the boxster with out a single second thought. But you have to consider what your dream car consists of and if either of these options come close to something that you could obtain with just a little more patience.
