I am in northern calif, so it's not that cold ever. About 98% of the time my top is open, the interior is holding up well after 11 years. i commend you, it's the way to go with a convertible that has a decent heater. i once drove to tahoe top down on a winter's night, it was maybe 38 degrees with wind, cold but not too cold.

My hero. I go top down to work if its above 30 and raining hard. But I drive my winter car once the roads are salted until springish.

This guy is dedicated hardcore, and reenforcing the rep that S drivers are... extreme.

We keep the top down unless its raining(hard enough to get us to wet) or when its to hot(thats usually when its over 110F). The coldest we've drove in was -7 F when we went to Truckee,CA one morning(left Sacramento at 4AM to get breakfast). Got some strange looks and some toots on their horn from the truck drivers we passed.
Just have to dress for the cold.

This is really awesome, especially since the whole country is going through a major freeze. I live in Georgia and it's 16 degrees right now. lol. Very proud of what you're doing. Keep it up!
Just to clarify, this isn't me. While I seldom drive my car with the top up, the weather has to be vert-appropriate. The 6 degrees showing on my Ridgeline's dash this morning certainly did not fit that definition.
Ahh thanks for posting though, awesome article/video! I wonder if he is on here.

Rod, did you at least run with a/c on? 100 degrees-- seldomly happens here-- and my ht goes on.

I'm in GA too. I think it was 14 here last night. When I opened the door this morning I was like. "Nope"

Where in GA do you live? You live near AL?

Yes we do but when it gets over 108/110, it doesn't help much to keep you cool. When its cold though, the heater works very well to keep you comfortable.
