Just for fun, I thought I would add some shots I took yesterday. In Monterey CA, 67 degrees of great top down weather along HWY 1 the California coast. Staying at the NPGS. Nice to have armed guards protecting the S!

Seems to uncomfortable to do that and for real no benefit. If its cold, Top up+heater on=comfortable. If its hot, top up+AC= comfortable. The only time I go top down is on a warm summer night.

Its sounds like the guy is in it for personal fulfillment, and now also for charity. So the benefit is indeed there.

Did anyone else catch that he's 6 foot 7, being that tall and driving an S every day is just as impressive as going top down all the time.

He's on S2KI as laurensdejong but rarely posts. His feat has been brought up before.

He is still The Man for being top down at all times.

Laurens is fairly active in Michigan, he comes to most local meets and probably attends the local cars and coffee more frequently than myself. He is a great guy if you ever have the pleasure to meet him.

This doesn't happen so much with other cars. There is something about an S2000 that encourages top down extremes.

Or maybe its more about the type of person that is drawn towards owning one of these cars. Extreme car draws extreme people who are prone to extreme behaviours.
