Lightbulb DelSol? really?

I heard 2 things this week that kind of upset me... I was wondering if it would upset anyone else out there.

I was told this week that the "Del Sol and the S2000 where really the same car"

Also does anyone ever get tired of people trying to rub V6/V8s in our face?
I'm so sick of people thinking that a s2000 is slow because it only has a 4.

Sorry for complaining I just want to know if its just me.

S2000's are slow lol... and they are 4 cylinders....

but they are nowhere near a del sol lol....

i always say muscle car guys only have the fact that their car is an 8 cyl to stick to. they have no arguement when you mention the 4,000 lbs of steel and crappy handling and poor gas mileage that comes with those extra cylinders ;-)

Someone said something untrue about your car that upset you? You own a Honda. Get used to it.

BTW if it makes you feel any better and if you didn't already know it, the S2000 and the Del Sol are nothing alike.

Del Sols are girl cars, whereas S2000s are more like butch lesbian cars.

I would take a slow, fun car over a fast, unpleasant car.

S2000's are slow, relative to a similarly priced (msrp) Mustang, in a straight line. My guess is that whoever you were talking to was thinking about cars in that way...and he was right. That's just not the way I, or most S2000 owners think about cars. If I told a Mustang owner his car was slow, he'd probably be as confused.
Pat, don't you know that the AP2s are fast in straight line too?

R&T extracted a 5.3sec 0-60 run from a CR, same as from their Mustang GT. Also, both clocked 13.8 in the 1/4 mile, yet the Mustang made it to 104 at the end, vs only 100.8 for the CR... How does that work? Is trap speed calculated from two points starting with the 1/4 line and extending further out?
