demand for S2000's
This is my first attempt at a post and I am not sure if I am placing it in the proper forum/area.....
Is anyone familiar with the current value/demand for S2000's?
I bought one in January 2001 for just under MSRP and unfortunately must now try to sell it. I recall when I was researching this car last summer that people were being put on waiting lists and paying up to 5k above sticker price. A couple of car dealers gave me a trade in value of up to 29k for my yellow car which now has about 400 miles on it and is in mint condition. It was explained to me by the dealer that there is not much demand for s2000's now. Is this true? or could it be the area I live in (Chicago)? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

I'm a dealer myself. Not a Honda dealer (If I was, all of us would get a nice break on our cars
), but exotic cars so I'm always dealing with those hard to find, limited production cars. Nevermind the fact that I just bought an S2000 myself yesterday. Anyways, Dealers are paying good money for those cars right now. Low, low miles, clean, $29-30K. I also hate to say it, but I keep an eye on the ones that go through the auction, and the red ones are normally the lowest, then black and white. The Silver does good money, but the yellow always has a buyer and does the most money. I'll shoot the stuff with you sometime if you want. But don't give away your S2000, you just have to find the right buyer.
