From Detroit to Amsterdam - Completed!

Just saw your updated pics... looks very clean and bright.
The fog light button on the right looks nice and clean as well. Do you think someone with a decent knowledge of electronics could do something like you did? And then, move my 2003 rear defrost functionality to a pre-02 hardtop defrost button that would go where the coin holder is? This way, the buttons would look OEM and the logos would fit their function. I wouldn't do this install, but would bring the parts to someone like Billman250 who does S2000 tech work for the people in the NY metro forum.

#4 There is no 'add on' OEM wiring available for this. The whole lighting system for EU spec cars is different from USDM spec and many functions are controlled by the PCM (main computer) of the car, as far as I know. To make things worse, the button is not a toggle on/off button, so it is practically useless. Not to mention the fact that it was very expensive. Furthermore the pins on the rear of the button are very difficult to utilize (tiny) and there is no electrical scheme available. I did trial and error when I soldered on wires onto the pins so I could use the switch.
#3 Wiring is very straight forward if you go the 'easy' route. All components (switch, relay, fuse) can be generic items from any automotive store.
If I were to do it again, I would simply get this rocker switch:

and do plain and straightforward wiring.
You could do what you suggest, but it's a serious pain. I did it myself and it is not very easy, but it makes for a nice hobby project. If you're getting billed by the hour, either be very rich or reconsider to go the easy route!

Let me ask another stupid question. What if I kept my stock 03 configuration (meaning keep the cruise on the left and the defroster on the right) and just get the pre-02 defroster switch that installs cleanly into the coinholder area, and use that to toggle the foglight on/off? Is that button a generic switch that I could wire straightforwardly? Or would this method equally be a PITA? I'm asking since that pre-02 button installs cleanly into the armrest. If I were to get a button like the one you posted, I wouldn't know where to place the button and in a clean way.
The pre-02 defroster button is shown here...

And lastly, where would I get the wire that goes from the lamp itself, to the switch button? What is this wire called and how much of it do I need?
Thanks.

Basically, all wiring and stuff is completely up to the ingenuity of the installer. If anybody can shed some light on that? I tapped the power from my amp that was installed in the trunk... At least I think I did. Like I said, up to the installer! There are so many options!!
Good luck!

That switch might work easily *if* it isn't a momentary switch. Unfortunately I don't know whether it is or not. Hopefully somebody can shed some light on that..?

Btw Siepel, how did you exactly cut the hole out? Using a sharp blade very slowly to cut out a hole a bit smaller than the template lines... and then using a fine sandpaper to enlarge the hole until the light fit through? That close-up pic of the foglight looks pretty clean.

First drill the holes O O O O O O and than drill inbetween the holes OxOxOxO at the "x"-s...

Drilled holes all inside of the perimeter (ending up slightly overlapping each other) filed and sanded the remaining points or 'teeth' down to a smooth 'straight' line.
