Don't worry about what those guys on supraforums say. Most of them have big egos. I have been on that board for about a year. I like that board b/c of all the smack talking going on.

They are going to "diss" any car that runs above 12 secs. I also read that S2K topic and just ignored their comments.

A supercar like the Supra is not in the same class as the sports car S2000.

Its a 3.0 I6 with a TURBO!

Still the S2000 is no pushover for a small engine! Its a compliment to be compared to a supercar.

Now a Supra vs. an NSX is more like it!

I'll agree in a straight line stock S2000 to lightly modded Supra - but take a look at ANY national level AutoX event - No supra's are even remotely competitive in their own class (SS) - so they are grouped in Street Mod - which is for non-sports car based cars. At this point they have done pretty well in the Street Mod class (basically unlimited HP and almost unlimited suspension) but they're not even close in times to the top of AS which is where the S2000 is hanging out these days. Quite a super-car - NOT!

I always think of comparisons like this as a money game - you could have bought a Supra TT AND a RX-7 TT and probably still saved money if that was what you wanted. Actually if they still made the RX-7 TT I'd have considered it as it seems to be a pretty complete package similar to the S2000 - only minus the rag-top.

Yeah Supra's are monsters. I got smoked by one a while back like I was standing still, but the dude was cool about it though, we gave each other the peace sign as we passed by. Hmmmm... Mebbe if I strip out the passenger seat, strip the trunk, carbon fiber hood, strip the radio, door panels, speakers, wheel caps, side markers, emblems, plastic cover for the roll bars, f*ck it the roll bars too, no exhaust, might as well take out the top, rear view mirror, side mirrors, rear bumper, windshield wipers, windshield wiper fluid, floor mats, center console, and add a supercharger, do you guys think I'll have a chance?

supra should be compared against vette , viper, , cobras
