My GF rented one for my B-Day in Vegas (isn't she the best?) . I would have bought the car without ever having driven it. Driving one made me do it a lot sooner thant I otherwise would have. So I can't answer the poll, either. I don't fit into either of those categories.

 

I bought mine in December 99. At that time I was living in Southern California, where it was nearly impossible to get a test drive at a dealer. I didn't want to buy without some seat time to compare it to the M Roadster and Boxster. So I rented one for an hour from an exotic car rental place on Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica. In fact, it was the same car Mingster rented before he bought his around the same time. Anyway, one hour of flogging that car was enough to sell me. Unlike anything else I had driven before.
