Always start every time...
9000 miles trouble free; no grind, buzzing clutch, or any other mechanical issues.

I just stared my car. Went to the store. First crank... top came down again, so did the window. And the shifting was as good as ever. And the car sounds so good with the Neuspeed from mingster.

Mine started five separate times today. I'm starting to sense a trend. I also suffered the same issues as many of you -- no snap oversteer, no overheating, no 1-2 grind, in fact no problems at all except that I was reluctant to stop driving each time I had to turn it off.

In all seriousness, I thank xviper for starting this thread. For those of you experiencing problems, I feel your pain. But those of us enjoying relatively trouble-free ownership need to make our voices heard also.

Thanks,
Mike

Hootsama, Two things your wife may not have remembered to do to start your s:
1) turn the key on then push the red button
2) push the clutch in before you push the red button
Or maybe, you left her the key that did not have the "chip" in it. Or you did that on purpose!!!
You don't want her to drive it (LOL).

6800 miles and my car starts OK, but there is one problem - it goes too fast after it's started (way over the speed limit) even around curves

I got a kick out of watching my wife figure out the Start Button on day 1.... The clutch thing is a standard on many brands..... So we're still baffled about the dead battery.

Thanks for the help, though, and here's hoping she just left a dome light on...

It didn't start... oh, wait. that was my father's '97 Chrysler few years ago.

Disappointingly, my S2k started fine as usual. The top came down as usual. I did not have 1-2 grind problem as usual. But to test my new toy, G-tech, I pushed it to red line. That was Exciting!!! I could not sleep because it ran just wonderful and I'm still excited.

cheers,

Mine started again today... and I shifted 1-2 at redline several times today and no problems. Top still came down and was clear still.
