Did your car start today?
Well mine started today, like it has done every day since I brought it home 649 days ago. But I do have a problem, two in fact. The rear window (it's been raining, had to have the top up) has gotten dirty and the self cleaner has malfunctioned.
Second, a buddy has one of those Ferrari's, and I don't think my Stook can beat it. I'm really disappointed. Anybody have a good therapist?

Well, mine started at 2am this morning and took me home. I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and I expect to average 28-32 mpg if I only can keep out of the VTEC range. Oh well, I'll settle for 20 mpg and VTEC!!!!!
Mine started too but it startled all of the cats sleeping nearby. They don't care for the growl of the HKS. Unfortunately there were way too many other cars today so I had to drive very slowly. Fortunately the AC is pretty good, even for Texas. Pretty boring this Honda, perhaps I'll take her out again tonight...
I love all of you very much, but you folks are killing me!
I have been without the companionship of my StooK for three weeks now as I've been on temporary assignment here in NorCal. (Mental note: next time make them ship my S2000 where ever they send me...) I gave my wife the OK to drive it, a little... cautiously... in my absence. Well, she calls me last week
and says "Honey, your car won't start.." OK, so after the exercise in anger management, I asked her some questions and determined that I probably have a generator/alt problem... but nevertheless was a little peeved, even though I know full well that my poor wife has terrified to tell me that something bad happened to my beloved StooK...
So I can hardly wait to get home on Sat., to find out why my poor S2 won't go, and then it's all about a long, spirited drive. (Footnote: I have tried everything to make my rented Olds Alero a fun car to drive, and I've beat that poor thing like a red-headed step-child, but it just doesn't cut the mustard..)
The moral, folks: Enjoy your wonderful S2000s. Appreciate their attributes and their so-called faults, because at the end of the day, the experience cannot be rivaled at $32K, give or take.... Don't let ignorant reviewers, whiny owners, or Doubting Thomases tell you otherwise.
We all know that this car is special. Appreciate it! ...For me...
Dying to drop the top and rev to the red,
Hoots-
