I disagree. I bought my car from a woman that had purchased an extended warranty. I never would have bought one myself. This one was through CNA national. Few months ago had my engine die due to lack of oil; the short block had to be replaced. They sent a guy out who looked at it and authorized the work. I believe it was about 6 or 7 grand all in all, so I was extremely thankful for the warranty. To each his own...
I also was "given" an extended warranty, and it came in handy...ONCE. After that, I was denied warranty "Because of past repairs". My car had a history with them, and it had been flagged. There's nothing like fighting for months over a differential.

I prefer to check my oil weekly and keep the money in my savings account.

Damn. Does anyone have any suggestions on GOOD extended warranties that don't void your warranty based on a bull$hit reasons like different tires?
Here I am 4 weeks from the expiration or my factory warranty and all this does not give me any reason to go with HondaCare.

Since my OE battery crapped out, it was replaced by an aftermarket battery.
My Tranny, Oil and Diff fluid is not "Honda" fluid. I have an iPod interface on the car.

HondaCare is in business to bet against your car breaking:
1. They will do anything possible to stack a decision in their favor.
2. They will sell you a "warranty" knowing full well they won't honor it.
3. If you complain and want to refund your pro-rated "warranty", they win again because the pittance you get back is way cheaper than the repairs they would have to pay out.
4. Anything, including aftermarket lug nuts will void your policy.
5. Magnuson-Moss Act does not cover service contracts. This "warranty" is a service contract, nothing more.

I guess as long as my diff doesn't blow, I'm in good shape.
