Default Difference between the 2 mugen hardtops?

What is the difference between the $5000 carbon fiber mugen hardtop and $2800 unpainted FRP mugen hardtop? Is it just the paint? If so, then is it possible to first purchase the unpainted FRP then get it painted later on? Thanks guys.

the $5000 is Carbon Fiber, and much lighter....

the $2800 is just FRP (basically fiberglass) and a little lighter than the OEM which is Aluminum and weighs about 42 lbs.....

hope that answers your question!

Carbon Fiber is not paint It's the material used to build it.

Turbo pwr, I know carbon fiber is not paint. I was just wondering if the more expensive hardtop was a painted carbon fiber hardtop and the cheaper one was just an unpainted carbon fiber one. But its clear to me now, thanks guys.

I think the problem was the fact that he didn't know that FRP is not CF. Now he does, and I'm sure it's all clear to him.

CF is lighter stronger and has more bling factor than FG.
