Default Different ways to mount front plate?

Just curious what are the different ways you guys have mounted your front plate. I saw one today where the guy had it mounted in front of the grill, is this something he probably did custom or do they sell it?

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks,
Den

I think mounting it like that restricts airflow to the radiator. I don't think I would risk it...

Also, chances are, it is illegal to mount it that way due to height restrictions and such.

Check out Rick's for the "JDM" mounting system. I'll probably use that for my car when I put a front plate on it.

no front plate works for me =)

only thing is cops, but we're not driving civic's here, so imo there'll be less hassle hehe

I just got Ricks (have not installed it yet -- too COLD out and my car isn't going anywhere for now since it has the stock tires...) because the default front license mount is pretty ugly. No front license at all would certainly be best, but the no-plate ticket is pretty expensive here in NY and its not worth chancing a cop who is having a bad day.

I don't run one, but have a Ricks mount incase I start getting hassled. Ricks is by far the best looking without restricting air flow to the intake.

I find that I don't get harassed at all when driving my S2000. But when I had my modded Del Sol, I was a cop magnet.

Bent the plate and double faced taped it on drivers side below headlight.
White plate on white car not to bad. Got the idea from a silver S at SacS2K gathering.

I've seen fully hinged plates that fold back 90 degrees as speed increases...seems like this would be a better alternative (also helps avoid photo tickets from the front).
