I'm getting close to my 7500mi service, is it worth it or should I wait to change the differential fluid? If I should go for it, what kind should I use? What kind does Honda use? Also, the service maual doesn't say to change the oil filter, but why not?

do it now! mobile 1 gear oil will do the trick. i reported on my day with Prolene, and when my diff oil came out, it was like something from Aliens - slimy, black, stinky, and VERY VERY VERY ugly.

Okay, so if it was that ugly...should it be a semi-regular thing to do? Or will the initail change get rid of all the alien goo?

Thanks!

(Is there anywhere to buy the stuff online?)
