Default Differential Oil Change

I just wondering how often do you need to change the differential oil and the tranny fuid? and does anyone have any info on how to change the differential oil? I have a 01 with 33000 miles on it. Thanks for the help.

there is a DIY Diff oil change thread that'll answer all your questions, do a search!
how about every 15K for the diff and 30K for the tranny assuming you're a normal driver.

Isn't that being a bit anal, Popeye?

This is a Honda, not a McLaren F1 track car.

Follow a similar maintenance schedule as any other Honda, all fluid changes every ~2 years/30k miles, maybe slightly more often if you drive the car hard.

I did my diff at 5k and it looked terrible so i would advise doing the original fluid at 5k and then 10k each time afterwards

If you're using LE607 for the diff, then you only need to do it once every 30K miles, per Road Rage's recommendations.

As for the tranny, you can do it as often as you feel necessary, or every 15K or 30K miles. I am using Honda MTF, and I've noticed after 6-8K miles, that it is due for a change to help keep my tranny shifting smooth.

Under the Hood FAQ's show you how to do both.

Since you're new here, I'll put the link here:

You should change the diff fluid annually or every 10K to 15K miles, depending on how hard you beat on your car. If you track the car, you might considering changing the fluid more often. Do remember that if you go to a Honda dealer to get the fluid, they do not have an "in-house" fluid. They can give you fluid from their motorcycle division.
The tranny fluid is a different situation. Change it annually if you have the time. It's cheap insurance. If it's shifting well and you have no tranny issues, you can go 2, even 3 years.

If you look at the FAQs at the top section of the "Technical" section, you will find "How To's" on almost every kind of maintenance for this car.
Go the the "Oil Journals" (same section) to find out what kinds of fluids to use in your car.
